Hannah Montana Clothes
Miley Cyrus plays Hannah Montana in the Disney TV series of the same name. Just in case you aren't up on the show, I'll relate what my research has produced, other than modeling.
Mily Cyrus actually plays Miley Stewart, who becomes the pop Superstar/Superhero, Hannah Montana. This magical transformation occurs when Miley Stewart dons the magical Hannah Montana wig and amazingly becomes Hannah Montana, the super star. So it isn't too far off of many of the shows of our days. Her reasoning behind the charade is to have kids like her for the real her and not the star she is at showtime. Certainly a great philosophy, but I'm not sure how realistic that might be. But being a dad (and Grand Dad) it is sweet to see the interaction between her and real life Dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, who plays her father on the show.
As a pop icon, Hannah
Montana has quite a following. Both with her
songs and
fashion.
What little girl wouldn't like to be her?

Certainly one of the prime attributes of the show is the Disney influence. While as we all know of the regretful modeling instance, it really wasn't as shameful as the media made it sound initially. None the less, Dad & Miley both stepped in, and in Disney tradition, owned up to a potential mistake and vowed to give more consideration to future endeavors. What better can we expect than our kids to make a few mistakes along the way, but to correct them as best one can?
But if they can recognize them, own up to them, and commit to change, is there really any better model to follow? I recall when my oldest daughter got a ticket when learning to drive - oh, that's another story.
It just seems that all to many kids look to blame everything on others. Parents too, unfortunately. It gets sickening to hear some of it. If I had a wish for my Granddaughters, it would be for them to be good people. And that is a feeling I think this role model conveys. Would you rather your son dressed up like Dennis Rodman in a wedding dress?
So thank you, Miley Cyrus, I mean Miley Stewart. I mean Hannah. Thank you, and thank you Disney for providing a good role model in this day and age, when it is so popular to swing the other way.
